The Opportunity
Indigenous communities and organizations are playing an increasingly pivotal role in Canada’s energy and resource sectors. Opportunities are expanding due to the increased demand for energy and resources, recognition of Indigenous rights, economic reconciliation, growth of government funding programs, and the rising focus on sustainability.
The Challenge
Despite growing involvement, there remains a clear lack of centralized, transparent, and accessible information about Indigenous participation in industry. This gap hinders collaboration, investment, decision-making, and policy advancement.
Our Solution
Indigenous Energy Monitor (IEM) is a data, research, and advisory platform dedicated to tracking and advancing Indigenous participation in Canada’s energy and resource sectors. IEM helps industry, governments, and Indigenous organizations make informed decisions that strengthen partnerships and projects.
Our Mission
Facilitate Indigenous participation in Canada’s energy and resource sectors by empowering industry, Indigenous organizations, and policymakers with transparent and reliable information.
Our Vision
A Canada where sustainable and abundant energy and resources are developed through collaboration, creating shared prosperity for Indigenous communities and industry stakeholders.
